March Sketchy Thursday at Scraptastic Club

It's that time again. Are you ready for a new sketch? This month I really enjoyed my sketch and I am hoping that it works for you guys too. Also hop on over to the Scraptastic Club Blog to see what our designers did with it. I am amazed every month at how different everyone uses it. This month it has one 4x6" photo but you can easily make it work for a 5x7, two smaller photos or even 2 4x6's if you cover up a bit more of the white space. Also think of flipping it or rotating it.

For my example I used the March Drops of Jupiter Kit, Add on Kit, and Stamp set and I used the sketch pretty much as is.

I just had to work this Scraptastic exclusive "limitless" splarkly title into my title. I know my photos today aren't great because it was cloudy out but hopefully you can see how pretty it is in person. I stamped and embossed the little icons with sparkly gold embossing powder on vellum and punched them out.

Imagination *Scraptastic Club Drops of Jupiter

When I first look at a kit, I try to figure out what Disney World pages I can scrap with it. I have several trips worth of Disney photos that need scrapping and lately I have been really trying to finish the first trip I took with my husband and boys in 02. This Scraptastic Club Drops of Jupiter kit has space themes and also I just loved the circle paper with all the dots and then I saw the transparency die cut word "imagine" - totally the colors of the Imagination pavillion in Epcot. I found this really nice old photo to use back when there was not only the Journey into Imagination ride, but the Honey, I shrunk the Audience show.

I used a white dotty cardstock from my stash for the background and cut the circle motifs from the patterned paper to create a block of dots below the photo. Once I finished I wished I had put a few on pieces of foam tape for dimension, but really my albums are already so thick it's probably best I didn't. I love the look of the white on white title so its not overwhelming.

Mission Control *Scraptastic Drops of Jupiter

The Scraptastic Club Drops of Jupiter kit this month has this fun background paper with star chart designs so I used it to scrap a crazy looking photo of me in the Mission Space queue at EPCOT. I wanted to work with the circles in the design so I added stars that I punched from patterned paper scraps and vellum from my stash.

I also used the great sticker alphas over one of the rings of the design to create my title.

Tropical gorgeousness! DCWV Watercolor Stack

Do you have this DCWV Watercolor Stack?! If you don't just go to JoAnns now and get it. Yes I am enabling because it's gorgeous and makes you want to be on a beach somewhere drinking something fruity like a Lapu Lapu.

The first thing I thought of when I saw these papers was my photos from the Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World. I have lots and lots of photos that will need to be scrapped. These are just two photos along the path that we walked everyday to go pick up our packages or get a drink or breakfast at the Port Royal area. I will have lots of photos along our path because it was just so beautiful. Love the little Ibis birds that are everywhere. We called them Disney pigeons :)

I used a patterened paper that has a scene for the mat of the background and then a white embossed paper from the new DCWV Embossed White stack. This is another stack that you should just get. All of the papers are ideal for your backgrounds. I added a piece of gold foil dotted vellum from the new DCWV Confetti stack and I cut the title from one of the patterned papers that looks like watercolors with gold specks.

now a bit closer because these papers are so fun. I cut the words from one of the papers and the flamingo and pineapple too. Seriously might be the best stack ever.

2 more Gale Song layouts *Scraptastic Club

I just loved the beautiful colors and die cuts and things in the  "Gale Song" kit and Add on kit from Scraptastic Club this month. I just don't have alot of pink and aqua in my life but I totally love these colors and the bit of gold and fringe, just push it over the top for me.

Today I am going to share two layouts using this kit along with the Gale Song Stamp Set which has big words and a journaling block and the Sunday Morning Stamp Set that has some fun banner pieces.

The little plus signs in the background are using the stencil that came in the kit with some white Gesso paint.

I stamped and heat embossed the banner and heart images with gold on vellum.

For my second layout I wanted to do a Valentines page since there are love and heart icons in this kit. I cut a strip of fringe from patterned paper along the top to echo the fringe in the heart embellishment. You can never have too much fringe, right?

I stamped the word memories directly onto my background and stamped the gold vellum banner pieces again.  I added some natural twine from my stash.

And a close up of the wonderful little fringy heart and coordinating die cuts.

February Sketchy Thursday at Scraptastic Club

Today is Sketchy Thursday at Scraptastic Club so I hope you will be inspired to play along. For my layout I used the "Gale Song" kit and Add on kit . I wish the title alphas would behave for photos because the lower half of each letter is a beautiful gold foil but they just photograph as black. Believe me they are just awesome alphas.

I decided because of the way my photos were taken that I needed to flip the sketch and in place of the circles I have my title along that portion of the page.

I have been wanting to use this title for awhile. It sure takes up alot of space. I cut half of the title from the charcoal cardstock in the kit. Don't you just love this little fringy heart! there are 4 in this kit.

Gale Song from Scraptastic Club

This month I am using the beautiful "Gale Song" kit and Add on kit from Scraptastic Club. For this layout I also used the Sunday Morning Digital cut file and the Gale Song digital Print and cut labels .
I added some white glittery thickers from one of the past kits.

Our inspiration piece was an image with a love note so to make it fun I chose to show some of the things on our Disney trip that I love about Perry. He really wanted his hair cut on Main Street and yes, he did have Pixie Dust (giant glitter) in his hair

I cut the heart circles digital file from vellum and it was a perfect background. I hand stitched over the XO on the journaling block.

Noel - Cranberry Christmas DCWV

My Noel is almost 15 years old and has renal failure now for the past couple of years but she is one sweet, fierce, cuddly cat. I wanted to do a page using a couple of photos from last month with a QR code that would allow us to scan it with our phones and be linked to a little video of her playing. Its not a great video, just from my phone, but its typical Noel. I LOVE the DCWV Cranberry Christmas Stack! It's gorgeous and it has a Noel card that just worked perfectly with my photos.

As always it is tough to really get a photo of these beautiful gold foil accents but I think you kind of get the idea. Here is a close up to really show you some of these papers. I also added a piece of my favorite DCWV gold foil vellum.

The 4x6 Noel card in the stack is perfect to cut out a bit and make a frame for a 3 x 4" photo. I printed the QR code small as to not really mess up the look of the page. If you would like to put a qr code on your layout to one of your youtube videos, just google search for a QR code generator and you will simply copy and paste your link and it will give you a code that you can then save to print out as you like. I think they print best on photo paper.
I also used some cranberry colored and tiny clear DCWV gems ,  along with some sequins

Cut file background with Just A Girl kit *Scraptastic

I love a cut file and this month the Digital Cut file for the Scraptastic Club Just A Girl kit is this awesome star pattern. I have used it three times already! It is not very fun to take it off the mat after cutting but it is so totally worth the trouble. I used the Just a Girl kit, Add on kit, and Digital Cut File.

I love the way this cut file looks with pieces of the patterned paper behind. I decided not to put paper in all of them.

and the Thickers glittery foam alpha in this kit appears white but on angle or in the sun, it has alot of iridescent color.

Home for the Holidays *DCWV

Have you seen the new DCWV Home For The Holidays Stack? Its got the perfect reds and greens that you need for your holiday photos but it also has black which I love because it seems everyone likes to wear black during the holidays in most of my photos. This is not a good photo because I was in a hurry. Lots of gift buying left to do. ;)

For my layout I used mostly the Home For the Holidays Stack, but the little piece that I cut from a journaling spot for the title is actually from the DCWV Merry Memories Stack which is also new and it might just be my favorite for this year so you will see a layout soon, I hope. I also die cut snowflakes from some DCWV white glittered paper and of course I added some DCWV gold foil patterned vellum.

and here is a close up because these papers have glittered accents that I am not really capturing well. I cut the poinsettias from one of the papers and just layered. In the upper right I added the words "love it" that I cut from one of the patterned papers that has holiday words all over.

Sketchy Inspiration from Scraptastic Club

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season.  I have been so busy that I had forgotten to share the layout that I made for the November Sketchy Thursday at Scraptastic Club. Visit Scraptastic's Blog HERE to be completely inspired by the amazing layouts from our design team

For my layout I scrapped a layout from last November when we had breakfast with Pooh one morning. I used the beautiful November Ain't No Sunshine kit, Add on Kit, Digital Cut file, and stamps from the Feels Like Home Stamp Set and Foodie Stamp Set which I will share an image of below.

I just love this little place setting stamp and it is exactly the right size for me to punch a white cardstock Pooh to put behind the plate, so I stamped on vellum and heat embossed with gold. I might need to apologize now for how many times I will use that stamp! I also gold embossed a couple of the label image stamps. I cut the digital cut file from vellum and it works beautifully but you really have to be patient when removing it from the mat or it will tear.

Here is the Foodie Stamp set. Isn't it perfect!

Thank You Butterfly Card * Scraptastic Club kit

So you know when you need a card for someone and you just don't think you have time to make one? I am bad about not making cards so I decided to buy some cheater cards. I got basic thank you notes that had a big open center and I could just add some nice embellishment. Today I needed a thank you for a sweet friend and I used some of the extra goodies from the Scraptastic Aint No Sunshine kit and Add on Kit. I love layering embellishments and a couple of scraps of patterned papers were exactly the size I needed too.

& Piglet Too! Scraptastic Aint No Sunshine

This month I just had to have both of the Scraptastic Club kits and I just totally love everything about the Aint No Sunshine kit and Add on Kit. For this layout I also used a couple of stamps from the Aint No Sunshine Stamp Set and Feels Like Home Stamp Set.

Oh I just noticed I also used the cute scalloped frame from the Feels like Home Kit. The metallic gold in this kit really adds so much to the layout but it doesn't photograph well at all.

I really love these two stamp sets for adding a little bit to any layout. I stamped the geotag on my journaling card at the top and the "I want to remember these Moments" at the bottom. I stamped the circle tag image on vellum and heat embossed with gold and I was happy to find that it is exactly the perfect size for flair to go in the center. I will have to stamp a bunch of these and punch them out so I have them ready for other layouts.

Pretty Fall with Scraptastic's Feels Like Home kit

I don't really get nice fall color except for a couple of pretty trees in my yard and they turn just before Christmas. Last year I got a very nice photo and the blues and corals were perfect for the Scraptastic Club November Feels Like Home kits.

I used the Feels Like Home Kit, Add on Kit, and the Aint No Sunshine Digital cut file.
I just love the metallic washi tapes in this kit, but the puffy fox has to be my favorite thing.

Catching up

Sometimes I forget to post some of the layouts that I just do for fun. I thought I would share a couple of recent layouts today that are disney pages that I don't think I have posted here. Not alot of info here or close ups, just sharing quickly because I thought you might like to see them.

Bioluminescent: This one is just fun and I love the title. LOL!

Chef Mickey's : Have to share this one with a close up because the "Sweet Girl" collection from EP is so cute but also because I played with my Fuse tool. Super fun

a close up of my confetti 20

City Sidewalks: I am trying to use more photos on pages so that my Albums don't take over the world. It's tricky to put three large photos on one page and not get all cluttered, but I like this one. Did you notice there isn't a title? not sure how I feel about that

Heigh Ho: this one that I totally copied from my scrappy friend Orlanda. Great paper choice and layout so I just did what she did.

Indiana Jones: And finally this one because I used some digi print and cut files. Gotta do that more. ...and see, 3 photos. :)

Snow Balls: Because it's fun.
