Layouts and cards *May Scraptastic kit

Today I wanted to share a few of my creations with the May "The Story I Heard" kit, add on kit, and stamp set. I really love the lighter colors of this kit because I am pretty bad about taking dark photos and I am always looking for ways to lighten up my pages. This is just a fun fresh kit to play with.

For my first layout, I chose to use a large photo of my crazy family as we arrived at our resort one year at Disney World. Since it is Caribbean Beach Resort, I chose to cut some palm fronds from cardstock for a more tropical feel. I also loved the little tiny stamp that says "enjoy this moment" so I stamped over and over in places on the background as a bit of a design element.

It's all about the photos today, first I had a large photo and for my second layout I have three fairly large photos. I wanted room to embellish a little and still journal, so the journaling is hidden on a tag behind the photo. The thing that amazed me by the tiny town wasn't the houses or train, it was the little trees, shrubs, and even flowers. I thought it was so cool that I made a tiny banner in the lower left to go with the scale of my tiny town photos.

and then with a few of the patterned paper scraps, cardstock, embellishments, and stamps, I created 2 cards and envelopes. Don't forget to decorate the envelope a little bit, too.

Here is a closer look at the card with the stamping. I just stamped the phone and dial onto cardstock, but for the greeting, I stamped onto a piece of the acetate that the cardstock stickers came on, using black Stazon ink.

Fantastic!! Your arrival layout is such a great idea...capturing that fun arrival moment! The little flag banner to match the scale of the little German town is adorable. And I love how you decorated the envelopes for your cards. A simple touch that works so well!
