NASA *CSI: Case file no.17*

I LOVE these colors and theme this week. Check out this weeks CSI: Case File No.17 challenge HERE. I thought of Mission Space at Epcot first but the colors were totally wrong for my photos. Then I remembered these old photos from our day trip to Johnson Space Center. Its always neat to visit and see those old rockets and buildings that were so much a part of our life when I was a kid. The boys thought it was awesome. This is Chris with his fave ship - I think it was a model prototype but I cant remember. I used some cool October Afternoon Rocket Age papers and embellishments. I could not resist adding a touch of red in addition to the challenge colors. For the "evidence" I used a star and star chart paper,  . For the "testimony" I journaled in a circle.

This layout is for Sketch #81 at Sketch Savvy. See it HERE.

a Sleepy Kitten *CSI:case file 16

The colors for this weeks CSI: Case File #16 challenge were so totally cute and the first thing I thought of was this little grey and pink mouse that Figaro has. It was his first toy and he really loved it so much that we got him a second one just in case. LOL! I took these photos when he was 6 weeks old - just look at his pink toes! He is giant now but I still love these photos. For my page I used some older K&Co Que Sera Sera paper in the darker pink with this beautiful Echo Park Be Mine Collection. I cut the title out of the background using my cricut and then I put the pink paper behind it. Then I knew it needed one more thing and I had this little toy mouse that I won't let Figaro have because it's too small and he will swallow it. I cut the back and took out the stuffing and catnip and then smashed it right onto my layout. Now since I took Figaro's toy for scrapping, it reminded me of when I took my son's legos for a page. So, I have to ask - have you ever taken your kids toys for scrapbooking? maybe your daughters hair bow? LOL!!!

2nd Ride on Tower of Terror *NEW Echo Park Note to Self*

First let me just say that I do not need to wait in a queue for 2 hours so that I can go up an elevator and be dropped. LOL!!! At least that was my opinion on our past 3 DisneyWorld vacations... but the more my guys have talked about their adventures on the Tower of Terror and even in the queue, I think I am going to have to be brave and ride it next time. It's the only ride that I skip. Wait - not true - I don't ride the teacups! Way too scary.

This super fun layout is all Echo Park's NEW Note to Self Collection and it was surprisingly perfect for a Tower of Terror layout. I love all the numbers because of course you never know how many floors you are going to drop in that crazy ride. Luckily the alpha sheet has alot of alphas because my title alone used 4 capital "R"s. You have to love the alpha sheet and sticker elements that come in the Echo Park packs, right? I cut out a couple of the journaling cards, tickets, and an arrow from the patterned papers. I have decided one pack of this paper is not enough for me. I can tell I am going to need more of certain things. I have already ordered more individual sheets, just in case I cant find the pack. I am thinking there will be lots of layouts in my future that NEED a view master circle on them. :) So if you didn't click on the name of the collection to go see the pack... do it now. It's cool stuff.

So yeah, this is my dh and two of our son's on Fathers Day. It was our second trip to MGM that week and they could not wait to ride Tower of Terror for a second time, so they are all posing outside the gates with two fingers up. And in case you don't have boys, one of my son's is wearing his Indiana Jones hat and the other a Jedi robe from shopping on our first day in the park. It was sooo fun.

Today's question: Do you ride the Tower of Terror? and are there any rides at Disney that you haven't been brave enough to try yet?

Spring Concert *NEW Echo Park Melody of Life*

Here is another concert layout featuring the NEW Mini Theme collection by Echo Park called "Melody of Life" by Cassandra Cooper. I created this page as an example for Sketch #78 at Sketch Savvy HERE. This collection has the most perfect photos for my photos but wouldn't some of these papers be wonderful for cards! I don't have alot left so its time to place an order, I think :) I especially love the blueish damask print and the music paper for just any layout. If you look at the sticker that says, "concert" - its just white normally so I used a marker to color in the coordinating blue. I really like the way it turned out.

Love these boys!

I found this adorable photo of my boys way back when they were shorter than me. :) I used Sketch #77 from SketchSavvy (HERE), and lots of cute MME papers from the Abbey Road collection. The dino is my own drawing and I printed him on patterned paper and cut him out. I added stickles for the dots but messed up on the back so I cut out a heart. LOL!

kitty toes *CSI: no.15

You just have to play along with the CSI challenge #15 this week, its super fun and the colors are great. I have the perfect subject for these colors too, miss Noel. I used a bunch of gorgeous My Minds Eye papers and a frame. For the "evidence" I used zig zag paper and pom poms, and for the "testimony" I put my journaling in a pocket.

I created this little shape and used my cricut and SCAL2 to cut it out, then I drew a fine line around the perimeter. The pom pom and twill trim are MME, and I added a fluffy white fiber too. The flowers are Prima, and the stamp is a Studio G stamp. The little transparent pocket was from my friend, Denise, when she gave me buttons. Never throw away cute things:)

Clarinets *Melody of life EP*

Those of you with concert photo.... band, orchestra, choral, piano.... anything really, Check this out! Its a NEW Mini Theme collection by Echo Park called "Melody of Life" by Cassandra Cooper. The colors and patterns make it very versitile, but I just happen to have hundreds of photos from many years of band concerts with my two boys. I love that they blue/grey color adds just that bit of color while still being formal enough for boys in tuxes. The collection has two of each double sided paper so you don't have to feel like hording it, and then a sheet of sticker elements. Really a cool way to buy a collection but I can see I will need more after doing this page.

This is my oldest son with a couple of other clarinet friends after a college Spring Concert. I created the whole page based on using this treble clef sticker because its totally my favorite element. LOL! I also love the little notes but I saved most for the 2nd page that I planned to make from this same day. If you get the chance check out this gorgeous "Melody of Life Collection" because I am sure you will find a use for these beautiful papers.
