Happy Halloween! **New DCWV Giveaway!**

Well, it may not be October yet but in the scrappy world, it's time for New Fall products! Have you seen the New DCWV Bewitched Stack yet? It totally makes me think of candy. I will share two of the layouts that I created using the 12x12 Bewitched Stack and coordinating Cardstock Stack, and then I will tell you how you might win the 4.5 x 6.5" Bewitched Matstack and coordinating adhesive Bewitched MatStack!!!

There is alot of glittery fun in this stack, and even some glossy black accents, that I could best describe as reminding me of patent leather - I used a sheet of it from the cardstock stack to cut out my titles.

My first layout is my son handing out candy and it's hard to believe he hasn't trick or treated in like 10 years! He was too tall when he was about 9. LOL! So now he tries to scare the kids by being the dark knight, but they pretty much just giggle - still it's fun. I used a text background print from the DCWV Timeless Type stack but everything else is from this Bewitched Stack. I made some spider webs by cutting strips of paper and gluing them to make a circle shape and then machine stitching with purple Kreinik metallic threads. It took me a couple to realize that the stitches can't be too close together or it will literally perforate the tiny paper strips and tear them apart. I like the way the threads made the webs curl upwards. I also used a couple of 3d stickers from DCWVs Halloween Combo Embellishment pack.

Now this layout... I wasn't sure if I would share because of the dark photos, but some of us don't have little ones and still take the silly halloween photos so I decided to go ahead. My photos are of my guys at a haunted garage down the street. There was a super creepy Jack in the box dude so my page is a bit freaky too. I had fun with the bright colors and I loved cutting out the big letters for Jack. I am not a fan of clowns so this was extra creepy for me.

Finally - For a chance to win these 4.5 x 6.5" Bewitched Matstack and coordinating adhesive Bewitched MatStack, leave me a comment here and tell me what you love about Halloween. Give me your name and email address please, and I will have one of my boys draw a winner on September 1st.

I already seen the first layout on Pinterest and though how cool LOL
All your layouts are such great inspiration. I've actually cropped recently because I was motivated by one of your layouts.
Seriously, who does like clowns!!! Even my 2 youngest children have the good sense to be creeped out by them.

OMG ...I love Haloween ...the dressing up is fun ...but getting candy is the best and now that my kids are little I have to "check" the candy ...which that means tasting my favorites!!!

The thing that I love most about Halloween is seeing the joy in the faces of the little ones as they get dressed and gather their treats! Such pure fun and enjoyment!

I like the scary pictures, glad you shared. I love Halloween and was even married on Halloween 1999. I think I will trick or treat until I am 80.

We have a large family and LOVE Halloween. Every year we have a theme and all play off of it. One year it was Wizard of Oz and one year it was Lord of the Rings. Of course we all dress up as characters from those movies and have so much fun decorating the house to match.

What do I love about Halloween? Everything. I love the weather and the nostalgia, it brings me back to childhood and I'm in a great mood all of October. Halloween has always been "my" holiday so it's great every year.

I have always loved coming up with inventive costumes for my kids. Now that my youngest is 16 it has changed from cute little trick or treating costumes to dances and/or parties. Or dressing up to hand out candy to the little ones and both of us saying things like "Awwww, that was the cutest one yet. No, that was the cutest one. No..."

I especially like how the first layout makes use of smaller papers like the mat stacks you are giving away. What I love about Halloween is answering the door to excited little kids who have come trick or treating.
