Birdies! Color Combos Galore #173

It's New Years Eve and Challenge #173 is live at Color Combos Galore! I just got these two birdies for my Christmas tree and its not like I collect birds, but I am starting to add glass ornaments to my big tree and these were just soooo darn pretty that I had to have them. This weeks challenge was to try to use mesh and I couldn't find my Magic Mesh, so I used tulle. I also used my new snowflake punch, isn't it cool! Its a Marth Stewart punch for this holiday season. And I know you are wondering why there are no birdies on this page - I just couldn't find a way to incorporate them, but I may end up adding one later. :)

If any of you guys want to play along but just don't have time this week, just catch up when you can, we would love to see your pages anytime! We have an awesome sponsor for December-- Work in Progress kits! Check out this very festive inspiration photo and Color Combo.

I hope you all have a fun and safe time tonight! Don't forget to take photos!
Happy 2011!

Joy *Color Combos Galore #172*

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful visit with family and friends.
Challenge #172 is live at Color Combos Galore! This is such a fun color combo and if I had a bit of time this week to create, I would totally do another layout. I even cut a reindeer from an old Christmas card, it was just what I needed for my fun Christmas morning photos. It won't be the same this year since our two military sons won't be home, but we have promised them a Christmas Part 2 when they come home in February. :)

Sparkly Smile *Color Combos Galore #171

Challenge #171 is live at Color Combos Galore! I just love these blues and although I was tempted to do a frosty snowy page, I just don't have the right colors in winter photos so I pulled out some kitten photos. Savvy was learning to brush his teeth and these photos crack me up! The focus was on ribbon for this weeks combo so I added some sheer black ribbon and hit it with the heat tool a bit to distress it, but with the holes it kind of looks like Savvy has been chewing on it! LOL

Tickled Pink!

Have you seen the "Be Mine" collection from Echo Park? Well, just a warning, you may as well pick up two packs because the backs are awesome too. I just love the damask patterns, candy stripes, beautiful detailed stickers and labels... Well, you will see. I know it's technically a Valentines collection but I will be using it for the everyday sort of pages because I just love the papers. I knew the second I saw it that I needed to scrap these photos first. This was the first day we brought Figaro home, he was just a small ball of grey fur, now he is a huge pile of grey fur!

**Omgosh, I totally forgot to thank my good friend, Heidi, for the awesome title! THANK YOU HEIDI!!! :)

For my layout I chose to add the sparkly gold from the inspiration photo and since the focus was the word "Gift", I did a page about the pickle gift that one of the boys gets when they find the pickle ornament.
