Not just for Halloween...

This is my layout for Sketch #48 at SketchSavvy, and I used My Mind's Eye papers and die cuts from the "Haunted" collection. This diamond background had a really cool flocked crow on the other side so I cut that out to use later. Then the kitty and damask die cuts worked out perfectly for my page. I also used a strip of damask from the "Lost and Found" collection.

Scifi Dine In *CCG #162

This is my page for the Color Combos Galore #162. The colors were just exactly what my photo needed and I just added a few kitchy posters from the movies that are featured at SciFi Dine In. This was our first trip and now it's one of our favorite evenings at WDW. I used older papers from Basic Grey and a bit of Cosmo Cricket.

So Tropical

I just love the tropical colors and theme at Caribbean Beach Resort. We have already decided to stay there again next time we go. I have to get some of these photos scrapped before I take more. LOL!

I used Sketch #46 from Sketch Savvy HERE for this page. The papers and butterfly are all from Prima. The circle journaling spot is from Pink Paislee. I used the free cut file from Sketch Savvy HERE for the hibiscus and the palm fronds are my own design as well.

Check it out!

I am so excited! I was lucky enough to be chosen as this weeks featured member at Color Combos Galore! Check it out HERE. Who wants to play along with this awesome color challenge? Its just so much fun to do color challenges and look at all of this old My Minds Eye Bohemia and Daisy Ds that I used! I chose to distress my page up a bit like the sofa and table in the photo. I also pulled yellow from the photo. Hop over to Color Combos Galore and play along with us :)

Crate Paper challenge Oct

Since I won last month, I am just playing along with the Crate Paper sketch this month, but the minute I saw the sketch, I thought "Hunnycomb"! note the pooh-ish spelling. So I pulled out 4 of my fave Crate Paper yellows and started with those for the background grid. Then I knew the three circles in the layout were going to be pooh-ish bees. Well, that sounds great til you have an all yellow background with yellow bees LOL! So thats why I added the other little pieces. I showed my husband and he said,"oh I could go for some of Pooh's breakfast lasagne!" mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Didn't even notice the page, just thinking about the meal, so that's good because I like my disney pages to take you back to that moment. I would kill for that breakfast lasagne now. I need to scrap it because I do have a photo of it.

Purrfect Pair

These two are just too darn cute and I cant believe Figaro was ever that little. They are still very cute together cleaning and playing, but now it's 2 big 13 lb balls of fur running all over the house driving Noel crazy. I knew Basic Grey's Pyrus collection was going to match my living room and Fig, but the pears just totally made this page. I mixed in a bit of Max and Whiskers for the kitties :)

Tally ho! CCG challenge

I decided to do the Color Combos Galore DT challenge and it was sooo fun. The challenge was to scraplift one of the DT members and use pink, aqua, brown, and white for the colors. I scraplifted THIS LAYOUT from Debbi T. I pretty much copied it exactly because I just loved everything about it. I used "Lost and Found" and "So Sophie" papers from My Minds Eye.

Home For Christmas

I took alot of photos when the boys were all home for Christmas last year so there will be more pages and most of them are very silly. This is the best one of all of them acting nice and normal. LOL!

I used Sketch #47 at Sketch Savvy HERE for this layout. I also used all Basic Grey Jovial collection. It's definitely one of my faves of their holiday collections. I thought it was so cool to cut the title from patterned paper and still see the design so I will be doing that again.

Seasonal Frame

I have had a few people ask to see all of the frame inserts that I have made so I am adding them here. I would love to see all of your framed pieces too. Add a link if you have one to share. We love inspiration!

Christmas in June

I just got this beautiful Snow Day collection from Crate Paper . If you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out, because it's going to be awesome for non-Christmas layouts too! I just had to do a sketch with lots of options for papers and embellishments so I could use alot of it. :) I knew I wanted to use a bunch of the cute chipboard and rub ons. Then I decided instead of Christmas... how about Disney! Brett's first night at Walt Disney World was better than Christmas for all of us. So CLICK here to see Sketch #45 from SketchSavvy.

Sodalicious!!!

OK, this page is just too much fun. I got the "Sodalicious Digi Set" from Cheri Wenger Digital Designs and I used the sundae that doesn't have the straw to print onto coordinating cardstock for a 3D paper pieced embellishment. Then, also very fun, I used my Cricut with Sure Cuts Alot to cut out the adorable "Sodalicious" word for my title. Check out this totally cute Sodalicious Set HERE. I used October Afternoon papers and splattered some acrylic paint on the background. To check out Cheri's other designs, click HERE

Framed Thing - Halloween Edition

Those of you who have been around here for a couple of years know that I have been making these framed things for my guest bathroom. I started with the Christmas one, then made Valentines, Summer, and Fall, but I forgot to make Halloween. I was taking the summer one out the other day and I realized I didn't have one to put in its place. I decided to use Basic Grey Eerie papers and just use chipboard letters for the little accent. My husband is always asking me when Halloween is. I thought this might help. LOL!
***The size of my frame is 11 x 14" and the squares are 1 1/2" but of course any size will work.***

Double Trouble!

This week I put up my Halloween tree and the kitties like to sleep on the blanket under it....and sometimes there is play fighting so I never put ornaments on the lower branches. Well, they are known for taking ornaments too.

This page is for Sketch #10 at Sketch Savvy HERE. I used the new DCWV Midnight Spell Collection for the whole page except the ruffle at the bottom, that is about 7 green cupcake liners! Way quicker than pleating paper LOL! I took a couple of close ups to try to show the details of the papers. I cut the yellow designs out of patterned paper and you should see this orange pumpkin paper in real life, its just so cool.
