it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride...

Oh I so wish I was at Blizzard Beach right now. It's soooo hot! So I just got this NEW Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection and it was just made for photos at Disney's Blizzard Beach! The aqua and lavender match the floats and lots of other decor around the park. So maybe they didn't exactly design it as a water park collection but that's what I am going to be using it for. LOL! And don't you just love the little snowman? I cut him from a strip on the border paper and there is a whole row of them. :)Oh and notice those awesome lavender bling alphas - those are Cosmo Cricket too. I just love the font and sparkle with these papers.

Tiggerific!

The Color Room Palette #21 had the exact colors as this photo of my sister so I had to do a fun layout. I used Basic Grey Ambrosia and Sultry papers along with some Basic Grey Marrakech stamps. I misted the background with pink and then splattered a bit of orange acrylic paint. And you know what? Orange acrylic paint does NOT come out of a white Tshirt even if you walk straight downstairs and use every cleaning product known to man. LOL! Yes, I am getting an apron.

Color Combos Galore #145

I felt like doing another color challenge and since this week's colors have not been posted yet, I went back a bit and did the Color Combos Galore #145 challenge. I just love the colors and I felt like doing a cluster of flowers.

This is also my example for Sketch #41 for Sketch Savvy HERE. I only used one photo and it worked out perfectly.

Maharajah Jungle Trek

I like to look for hidden Mickeys in the parks, but you just don't have time when traveling with 5 other people. With all of the murals and beautiful stone on the jungle trek, I know there have to be more than the one I found. AND I didn't find it til I got home and looked at the photos closer.

This layout is for Sketch #8 from SketchSavvy HERE. I used Basic Grey Marrakech and some very old Basic Grey rub ons. I had to make the banner because they are all over the place in this area of Animal Kingdom. The banner is just torn pieces of muslin fabric with scraps of paper stitched on and then I added bits of Basic Grey rub ons so they would look kind of like the banners in the park. The font for the title is Samarkan. :)

Oh, Nevermind...

This layout is for the Color Combos Galore #156 challenge. As you can see, I was inspired by the challenge photo to pull out some old rollercoaster photos. Alex was 10 and from a distance it didn't look so scary, but up close with screaming, it was another story.

I used a bunch of mixed up papers from DCWV, Basic Grey, and My Mind's Eye. The yellow flowers are a paper clip that I cut in half.

Color Room Palette #20

These colors in the Color Room Palette #20 look nice, but I just do not have purple in my photos very often. I thought maybe in my stacks of Disney photos so I found this one of the boys passed out on the bed in the middle of the day. They are so cute.

I followed their sketch and also added a little Disney button that my friend, Kristin, got for me on her recent Disneyland trip. It was just he extra touch that it needed. The cardstock is whitewashed Coredinations, the patterned papers are DCWV and My Mind's Eye, and the glittered alpha and accents are Pink Paislee. The swirls embossing folder is from Cuttlebug.

DCWV Black Currant stack

Have you seen the DCWV Black Currant stack in real life? Its got all this shiney foil and glossy black accents. I just love it and I know I should think of beautiful formal photos, but I just don't have those so I thought of Halloween right away. LOL! Specifically this photo of Figaro, who was exploring all of my decorations as soon as I got them out. It was his first Halloween. Also this urn is probably my fave decoration.

The papers are all from the Black Current stack, except for the little spider that I cut from the Midnight Spell Stack. The black glittered cardstock is from the Black Currant Mat Stack. The font is called PS Bluegum Forest and the Jack is adapted from the dingbat font Skellington bats

Color Combos Galore #155

This challenge from Color Combos Galore had perfect colors for me. I always have lots of green in my photos. The inspiration photo has a door with map paper in the openings. I used a photo from our little day trip to Moody Gardens and I cut rectangle pieces of patterned paper like the rectangles in that door.

The papers are Crate Paper from a couple of different collections and then one piece of Basic Grey. The adorable scalloped oval is a cut file from a digital design kit by Cheri Wenger Digital Designs. Click HERE to see the kit that has this shape in it. I just love these shapes, so you will be seeing them more often.

More Citrus!

I know I have been using DCWV Citrus alot lately, but the colors just seem to work for everything! This kind of goes with my other All Star Movies Resort page from the other day. You may not see them buy my guys are sort of celebrating with their hands in the air next to the Sorcerers hat in the photo of our building at the resort

Summer

This is a layout for the My Mind's Eye Blog Sketch Challenge #14 Summertime. Is anyone else entering? it ends on the 19th and this is a pretty fun sketch. It's meant to have three photos but I really wanted to use these photos of my son with the Breaking Free and Surf's Up Collections so I used 2.

The journaling around the edge says, "Brett on the beach at the Polynesian Resort. He took off his shoes and shirt, but the Indiana Jones hat stays on!" He got the hat at MGM in the middle of our vacation and didn't take it off til we were back home. :) Looks good on him too.

NEW DCWV Midnight Spell

What is your favorite thing about Halloween? Seriously, leave me a comment. I would love to hear your answers. I love sparkly pretty ornate decor, making at least one of the boys dress up, caramel apples, and of course CANDY!

I just got my New Midnight Spell stack by DCWV and I can't possibly tell you how cool it is! It's got glittered and foiled accents but the designs are just so beautiful. I can't wait to make some ornaments for my Halloween tree. But first I started with a layout and card so that you can see a bit more of the details in this stack.

For my layout I cut the shaped paper and the candle sticks from the same sheet of paper. The candlesticks and webs are attached with foam tape for dimension. The title is cut from DCWV glittered cardstock from the Citrus Mat Stack. My photos just do not do these justice, but if you click on them to enlarge the image, you may be able to see the glittery glazed designs and the foiled designs.

Fantasia Pool

The pool right in front of our building at All Star Movies was just so cool. I have a few photos in that area that need to be scrapped. I used Die Cuts With A View Citrus Stack and Citrus Mat Stack, then added a piece from the Spring Glitter Stack. Love these colors and the great glitter papers. And if you are like me, you are constantly searching for this blue - sort of bright royal blue. There are several good ones in this stack. I am really hooked on cutting my titles from DCWV glitter papers.

The paper he took was an old piece of My Mind's Eye that kind of coordinates with the "Spiders Web" collection by MME. It's a Halloween collection but its ideal for this photo. And the white circle doily shape is a cut file from a new doily collection of digi shapes coming soon by Cheri Wenger Digital Designs.

cool design

I don't know what to call these little shapes but I love the design and I just had to do a page with them. And then I had to make a card! Mostly all DCWV Citrus Stack which is one of my all time faves, but I did add a couple of pieces of Echo Park and Basic Grey, you know how I cant resist them! This layout is also for the Color Room Palette #18. I love these colors and they were just what I needed to pep up my Space Mt photos.

The buttons are homemade from polymer clay and I might be addicted since they are so easy to coordinate to papers.
