I am having a blast with the NEW DCWV Citrus Stack! The designs and colors are So great for so many photos. This stuff is glitter embossed on some of the papers and thats cool, but the cardstock stack that coordinates has foiled solids, glittered solids and cardstock solids in these great citrussy summery colors. I have a stack of photos next to the stack waiting to be cropped. LOL! I need to really work on other things but these new DCWV goodies are more fun.

And yes, another one of me when I was 3. I think I got this balloon at the zoo but the only place you see these now is Disneyland. What could possibly be cooler than a balloon inside a balloon!

Discovery River ***NEW DCWV Tajmahal Stack***

So is this not just the most fun paper?!? I knew when I saw the NEW Tajmahal Stack by DCWV that I would use it for this photo. This stack has papers that are foil accented, glitter accented and it's glossy. Really very vibrant and fun to use. I handcut the flower motif from the patterned paper. The felt pieces are just circles that I stitched to coordinate.

Ok, today is the start of CHA and it is just killing me to be sitting at home for the first time in years. Luckily my good friend, Nancy Burke, is doing the designer showcase so she is updating me as the day goes along.

This morning I begged her to go get an upclose look at the beautiful new DCWV collections. She immediately picked Tajmahal as her fave and its totally my fave too. She said the foiling on this collection is beautiful. She also commented on the rich flocking of the LeCreme and some of the glitters of the other collections. I just can not wait to play with all of them.

Here is a peek at all of their new goodies:

The Mouse

This was the first time Alex and I met Mickey. I had never had my photo taken with Mickey before. The papers are Granola by Basic Grey. I made a pocket behind the layout for the journaling so that I could have the little mickey ears above the page. I scanned Alex's autograph book and printed the signature onto a piece of the patterned paper so that it would coordinate. The fabric vine is a stitched design in some fabric that I have so I just hand cut it for the layout.

Chris at the Zoo 1994

Sooo cute. I love these old photos. He always used to bite his lip when he smiled for photos. LOL!

All Basic Grey Archaic papers for this weeks Basic Grey Challenge. They couldn't be more perfect for this photo too. I used several of my Inque Boutique stamps here from the Safari and the Page Seals sets.

This is a special page because it's a photo of my brother, sister and I at the front of the Magic Kingdom and it was the first time we had been there since we lost our Dad. He used to take us to Disneyland and DisneyWorld alot and this was the first time without him. I used alot of My Minds Eye Out and About collection as well as a few beautiful patterned papers from Basic Grey. The background graph design paper is DCWV.

it's me

You know I dont like to do all about "ME" pages but this one turned out to be fun. I used some really fun K&Co Die Cut Ephemera that has this awesome camera and lots of other "me" goodies. Of course I used alot of green and there is a hidden mickey - not so hidden. I love these MME 29th street Market papers too so that counts as a me thing.

If you don't love doing All About Me, grab some embellishments that you love and just give it a go! It's pretty fun.

What a Hoot! Aka: You just can't cage the Beast!

oh Alex. LOL! Yes, he is 6' 5" and 16 years old now but look how cute he was at 3 1/2! he helped me with the title too. This is for a challenge to use old photos. I had to scan and print these because I couldn't find the negatives.

You know I love my new DCWV Green Stack, so I just had to play with it. I even added my own touch of "green" with this red mesh that used to be around a pear that I bought. You wouldn't believe the stuff I save because it might be cool on a layout. Well, maybe you would since everyone knows I love my starbucks cup holders.

hello Green Stack!

I have to share this little card that I made this morning using the Green Stack from DCWV. First, I LOVE this new stack and the chipboard that goes with it. It's 70% recycled paper and just so darn cute. I can't wait to do a layout using the little skunk with my black and white stinker of a cat! There are birdies, bears, snales, squirrels, mushrooms, flowers.... All just so fun. I love the texture of the cardstock too - it's got that same weave everyone loved in the Old World or Far East stacks. You really have to have this stack in your hands to appreciate how cute it is.

Anyway, here's my cute birdie card. I used a Basic Grey "hello" stamp for the greeting.

Noel -Christmas 08

I love this photo of Noel and the page is making me smile too. I used the Blitzen paper for the Basic Grey Challenge #1 at Peas and it was just perfect for her photo. The little kitty vintage image is from Altered Pages. I cut it out and added a bit of "snow". The red pieces are actually from holiday greenery sprigs like you get at Hobby Lobby. And to soften the whole layout a bit, I have torn some white on white cotton fabric. Thanks to Kristen at Serendipity Scrapbooks for the inspiration as part of a daily challenge in the forum.

You've just got to love Mickey. Basic Grey papers from Black tie, Figgy Pudding, and even the white from Bittersweet. I used Inque Boutique stamps from the "Once Upon a Time" mini set. The Vintage Mouse stickers are from DisneyWorld.

Disneyland Pixie Dust

Another layout for the Disney Challenge #1.
Lots of old Basic Grey here along with some new Scenic Route graph line background paper and a bit of Pixie Dust too.

Penny Arcade

this is a layout for the Disney Challenge #1. Main Street with memorabilia. This is the Penny Arcade at Disneyland in Feb of 2008. I included some of the squished pennys on the page. I miss the days when the Penny Arcade was much larger and had more of the penny machines that played pictures and music. It's still a special place to go though. The papers are really old Cosmo Cricket. I have used some of my Inque Boutique stamps for the tags. They are from the Story Boards set.
