Paper Crafts Gourmet Sneak Peek!

Oh my, I have a yummy halloween treat for you today! There is a NEW Paper Crafts issue called PC Gourmet and I just can't wait to get my hands on it. I am lucky enough to be able to share one of Alisa Bangerter's recipes and her cute Halloween tag with you today.

Cheesy Garlic Drop Biscuits

Alisa Bangerter

This is a perfect recipe to pull out if you are short on time because there is no rolling or cutting. The cheese and garlic add extra kick to a plain biscuit, and kids love them. They are the perfect accompaniment to serve with soups or stews, and are great served with a salad.

2 c. flour

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

4 tsp. baking powder

1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. salt

2/3 c. butter or margarine

1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

1 1/4 c. milk

Chives (optional)

Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is fine. Add cheese and mix well. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle top with chopped dried or fresh chives if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.

Tags R Fun!

ok, I got a bit carried away when I made that last one and couldn't stop. This strange orange rhinestone buckle was just begging to be used. I love the way it turned out. Of course the beautiful Ambrosia papers by Basic Grey are the main reason, but aren't the cute punches by Martha Stewart fun?

Check in tomorrow for an extra special tag!

Just Treats

I needed a very sweet tag for a bag of candy that I am giving my friend and the Sweet Collection by DCWV has got the cutest candy papers you will ever find.

haunted mansion

This layout is for my brother's book. I love the way the DCWV Old World papers are just ideal for so many of the DisneyWorld rides. This WeRMemory Keepers Halloween Web Flocked lace is SO haunted mansion and it was so fun to ink with! I have to do my haunted mansion pages so I can do that again. I got ink all over my fingers of course, but it was fun.

Antique Shopping 4 Men

well while I was looking around the shop at all of the treasures, the guys had found a sword and were making a deal. They did get a good deal and when I walked over and saw the pretty sword, I took a couple of photos of their find. They told me that it was a civil war sword. But later in the car I was looking at it and on the actual price tag it said, as clear as can be - "Japanese police sword" Ok, its still a pretty sword but I will never stop teasing them.

My Finds

I was inspired to create this layout by Mugsyboo's fab blog. Thanks!
I have photos from several fun antique store trips and I have never scrapped them. We dont buy much but its always a terribly fun day. This day was especially fun because we were in Brenham for Chris' game at Blinn but we went to see the scarecrows all over downtown and decided to go look at antiques. There will be two pages about this experience because I found some little things and so did the guys. There is a very big difference between my record and glass dish and their sword! lol That layout will follow soon.

a little halloween decor

I just got the most adorable Nightmare Before Christmas urn style ceramic bowl from the Disney Store. I just love it. I also bought a roll of orange cellophane to cover my outdoor lights. I wrapped 2 layers around my porch light and small bedding lamps and then tied with black satin ribbon and it looks pretty cute and kind of like candy.

So Happy

This photo makes me so happy. It's Brett when he was 10 years old and it was the first time he ever held a little chick, he was so careful and just kept saying, " cute" over and over. I CASED a digital layout by my good friend Mandy, but I used my new Woodland Whimsey collection by Sassafras Lass. I just love these papers and they were perfect for this photo.

Fall Door Wreath

Can you believe I got BOTH of my wreaths finished. I love my Nightmare wreath (Below) but this one is just perfect for the front door and I put alot of lights on it so it will show up in our dark doorway. I made a sort of generic fall wreath and then just put a couple of candy corns and a ghost to make it halloween-ish, but I will take those off and add a turkey or something after halloween so then I can keep it up til after Thanksgiving. Actually since we are having light up spiderwebs for Halloween and they will be near our door, I am thinking about getting a large creepy spider and having it across this wreath like its being attacked. LOL!

This is Halloween!

We LOVE Disney/Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas and we watch it on every halloween. We also buy one special NMBC decoration each time we go to DisneyWorld so that we can decorate for Halloween. This year I decided to make an indoor wreath with this theme. I really love the way it turned out. So here are a few photos of the wreath and some close ups. Lots of altered wooden ornaments and felt ornaments. I am sorry but I dont have any patterns, I was just sort of making it up as I went along.

If you have any wonderful Holiday creations on your blog, please leave me a link. I would love to take a look.
