OZ The Great Movie Ride MGM

These are the only two good photos I got when we were there in 05. I hoped to get better photos last year but I lost the whole days photos. This is one of my favorite parts about the Great Movie ride - its like stepping into the movie.

This is for the Disney Challenge Hooray for Hollywood and also the Use Your Stash Challenge. I used Old KI, SEI, felt, ribbon, die cuts, chipboard, and hand stitching from the list this week. Might have to do another because that was fun! I love making the felt flowers.

I heard the bells on Christmas day ATC

well - I almost ran out of July but I have been wanting to do some Christmas in July so better late than not at all. This was kind of fun. I attached a vintage Christmas image (from Altered Pages) to a piece of chipboard. Then I cut it up into inchies and sanded and varnished to make little tiles. Of course there had to be glitter!

where do your stamps live?

I get asked the storage question alot and believe me, my solutions have changed many times because when you have mountains of stamps, you need easy storage so that they are put away neatly and you will actually be able to find them when you need them. Here are my two favorite storage methods right now.

I keep all of my Inque Boutique stamps that come in CD style cases in their cases on shelves or in a CD tower (4 3/4 x 5 3/4" and also the 5 3/4 x 9" size) Then I label the end of the case.

Right now I am in the process of putting all of my other stamps that dont come in those cases into the Inque Boutique Stamp Keepers. I use the 8.5 x 11" size so that I can use the standard binders. I put a piece of printer paper between the sides so I can see the stamps easier. I love this because even if I dont wash my stamps well after using them and they fall off the plastic, they are still inside this case and not on my floor.

I tried putting my little stamps on the storage cards in an index box - boy was that a bad idea. All of those tiny alphabets and small stamps at the bottom of the box mixed up. LOL!

Costumes MGM 2002

When we went to MGM in 2002 it was still a working studio so there was more to the Backlot tour. One of the things that I thought was cool was when the tram passed the costume shop and people were busy working. I only took 2 photos but there were so many neat things in there. I would love to walk around in there and look at everything.

I did this layout for a "Use Your Stash" challenge as well as the Disney Hooray for Hollywood challenge both on Peas. I used up a bunch of buttons and things but also some "Stella Ruby" collection by Basic Grey which was just so perfect for this page. Also when I was digging around for cool buttons to use on this page, I found out that I have several antique glass buttons from Granny. I wish I had a photo of her sewing room upstairs because I would really love to use them on a layout so that they wont get lost.

Zoo mini Part 1

My husband, son, and I met my sister at the zoo on a really nice spring day (2years ago - yes I am behind on things). This mini album and all of the chipboard letters and shapes are from a set by Inque Boutique. The set actually has 2 mini albums in it. Alex was getting Kermits autograph at MGM studios. Tough colors but BG Cupcake goes so well with it. And I just love this little scalloped frame stamp from Inque Boutique

Thinking of you pineapple card

I wanted to use this foam stamp for a layout so I thought I would test it out with some dimensional paint. The papers are all 29th Street Market by MME.

This is part of the current challenge and man, it was a big challenge to find papers and things to go with these FOUR photos. Yes I put 4 on a page. LOL! All Cogsmo paper from Cosmo Cricket.

Its so much easier to get good close ups of Savvy outside in the sun. Papers are BG Scarlets letter and the cool chipboard heart is from Inque Boutique.

I got some great shots of the kitties when they were on the porch one day. This is all BG Archaic and I just love it with Noel.

Altered tin for Disney Twinchies

I have been making some Twinchies (2x2") and I need a place to keep them where a certain fluffy black and white pirate wont take them. I altered this tea tin using old Foof a la paper, vintage images "Medieval Manuscripts" from Altered Pages, stamps from Inque Boutiques "Story Boards" stamp set, and a couple of stickers. I didn't think very clearly and I also added some fiber around the top because I love fibers and Savvy still tried to take the tin. But its not as easy to take as the small twinchies so I think he will leave it alone.

the living seas - 2005

This is the last photo that I took at the living seas before the whole front was changes to the Seas with Nemo and friends. Its really cute now but I cant help but miss the old way.
