Am I in your way? *June Scraptastic Club kit*
I love the colors in the June Scraptastic Club Carry On kit, they are real colors that are actually in my photos, but this photo has so many crazy colors that there really is no way to not look a bit obnoxious. The thing is that I took this photo of Figaro laying on a layout that I was working on with this kit and I shared it with a couple of scrappy friends who insisted I scrap it. This really is the daily life at my house - like the cute stamp says. And that cord is my skype camera cord that he is on.
Sorry to say that this kit is sold out but every month Scraptastic Club has some of the best kits, so be sure to check them out. Scraptastic also has some of the best wood veneers in the shop and I picked up the kitties and circles to add to my kits. For this layout I painted some mists on the wood to stain them and in the close up you can tell that the Heidi Swapp Color Shine Tinsel is metallic but you can still see the woodgrain. I like that. I also flicked the mist onto my background to make splatters by just unscrewing the lid and sort of slinging it at the page, if you know what I mean.

B-day card! *Echo Park Scoot collection
A Boy is... **Echo Park All About a Boy
I really had alot of fun creating this layout. This Echo Park All About a Boy collection is full of bright fun colors but these spinners in the papers, Chipboard, and Layered Stickers are just my fave thing! Ok I love the Designer Brads and blue chevron Washi Tape too.
I just layered all kinds of spinners pieces along the left and the woodgrain made it all pop. Check out the full collection HERE.

Bridezilla NOT! *Scraptastic Club June Kit
Here is my first layout with the May Scraptastic Club "Carry On" kit. I took this photo of my sister and her Matron of Honor when she was pretending to be a bridezilla. Nothing could be further from the truth so it had to be a layout. In addition to the Carry On kit, I added the red alpha stickers and the red and white twine.
Lately my husband has been telling me that all of my layouts look alike with a solid stripe across or down. I do this because I like to anchor my elements in the center of the page, but I don't want all my pages to look alike so I am looking for other fun ways to anchor my photos. I borrowed this stitched divided section idea from a gorgeous layout by Patricia Roebuck. I will be doing this again because I think it's a great design idea. I love borrowing ideas from designer friends. Where do you get most of your design ideas?

Love this photo
Seriously this is my fave photo from my sister's wedding. Just the fact that we were able to get our side of the family, including my uncle, to jump several times to get a good shot, makes it special. I have no idea what possessed my boys to hold hands and pose like this, but it's going on my wall. This page is for my sister's book. I love banners of course so I layered a bunch under the large photo. The die cuts are all from an older Crate Paper collection called Portrait. I love the little vintage piece that says "Classic Wedding Portraiture" because of the photo I used. LOL! The whole page is a bit lopsided and honestly that was not the plan but I am cool with it. :)
something borrowed and blue
I am working on some layouts for my sisters book, mostly random fun moments from her wedding week. These photos are at the hair salon before the ceremony when we realized she needed something borrowed and blue. I had this blue rhinestone hair pin in my purse and it was perfect. I used the Dear Lizzy "5th and Frolic" collection by American Crafts. I just love the little typewriter in the lower corner that says "remember this". I stitched some sequins and added rhinestones to for sparkle.

Humunga Kowabunga *Echo Park Paradise Beach
A little flash back today. Since I have mountains of photos from past Disney vacations that need to be scrapped before we go again next year, I am always trying to get a few done here and there. Another flash back with my favorite collection from last summer, Paradise Beach by Echo Park. It really is the best collection for Typhoon Lagoon. I layered a few of the fun stickers for a fast and easy cluster of embellishments. I really should own stock in adhesive foam tape.
This is my layout for Sketch #107 at SketchSavvy. See it HERE.
These three body slides at Typhoon Lagoon are called Humunga Kowabunga and I really don't need to drop nearly straight down at like 30 mph so that I can get a massive wedgie, . . . but the guys apparently do need to do that, so I got a couple of photos.

Rock & Roll *BasicGrey Hipster
Another page using the fun Hipster collection by BasicGrey. Well I also used some pieces from the Hey Girl collection. I really love that collection too. This is also for a Disney challenge to use quotes from rides. My quote on this page is, "The show is all the way across town, but I got you a really fast car!"
The little Rock & Roll block was cut from patterned papers and it was the perfect title. I love the Sweet Ride button for this too, it was from the "Hey Boy" Flair. The cassette tape is chipboard from Hipster and it would have been cooler if it was a record but I like it for the whole theme.

Love Gertie *BasicGrey Hipster Collection
I love Basic Grey's Hipster collection and these photos are at MGM/Disney's Hollywood Studios in an area that has a retro kitchy look. Its called Echo Lake and Dino Gertie is an iconic ice cream stand. Its over by 50s Prime Time Cafe. Anyway I had so much fun with this one. I used Sketch #106 from SketchSavvy HERE.
I didn't have all the awesome Hipster Embellishments when I worked on this layout so I had to embellish with the papers. I cut the clusters of flowers from one of the patterned papers (here), and I used a ink stained bamboo skewer for the flag pole. And isn't that little camera cute - its from this paper.

Brand New *Echo Park Bundle of Joy Boy
Timothy is my cousin's precious baby boy and this was his birth day. His room is a jungle theme so these papers from the New Echo Park Paper "Bundle of Joy: Boy" collection were the most perfect with all the little animals and great green print. I loved the "Brand New" sticker because it was just the right title.
