Sketchy Thursday at Scraptastic
It's Sketchy Thursday on the Scraptastic Club Blog with this fantastic sketch by Jana Eubanks. This is one of this months challenges on the Scraptastic Blog, so check it out HERE and play along for a chance to be this months winner.
And for my example I have turned it on it's side so that I could use several photos. My sister is getting married this weekend so I am scrapping some pages for her about the journey before the wedding as well as the wedding. This might be one of the only times that it is fun to write a check - for gown alterations! They even drew diagrams for her so I included a photo of that as well. Can you believe how perfect the papers in this months Scraptastic Club "Awake My Soul" kit were for these difficult photos? I just love the navy and the gorgeous long pink pearl pins!

Now for my project. I used the Echo Park Paper "Oh Snap" Mini Theme collection along with the "Oh Snap" stamp set. I also used this awesome May Arts ribbon in just the right coral color to coordinate. My son took this fantastic photo of Figaro when he was a kitten so the Oh Snap collection was just what I needed.
I used white embossing powder and heat embossed the doily design, cut it out and layered it to create an embellishment as well as a large scalloped border. The circle camera stamp in the upper left is just stamped with black ink to make a little embellishment and I stamped with a coral color for the chevron arrow designs on the background.
Thanks for stopping by, now Have Fun Hopping!

a Zip a dee doo dah day! *April Scraptastic Club kit
I used the awesome April Scraptastic Club "Awake My Soul" kit and add on kit for this layout. I just love the way the colors work with this early morning on Main Street USA photo of my husband. Everyone takes a photo with Walt and Mickey at the Partners statue in the hub, but stop in the front of Main Street by the flag pole and snap a photo with Roy and Minnie, its a great photo op.
And you guys know me, so you know I just had to make another sunray effect. I know I do that far too often, but I love it. And the sequins just added that something extra that you need for a disney page. Super fun page to make - check out the Scraptastic Kits Here. This month at Scraptastic we are trying to use song titles for our titles so this was ideal. Visit Scraptastic to see all the other designers amazing work in the Gallery - or check out the Blog!

Underwater *Scraptastic April kit*
I had some really great colors and patterns to work with this month in my April "Awake My Soul" kit from Scraptastic Club kits. Papers from Dear Lizzy and Fancy Pants, great alpha stickers from Basic Grey, Studio Calico and Thickers, MME buttons, exclusive die cut words and flair, sequins.... just so much fun. Check out the Awake My Soul Kit, Add on, and stamp sets HERE.
To me this kit looked a bit nautical so I thought of these photos first. My guys at Moody Gardens Aquarium in Galveston. I stamped a bit of chevron design and a word stamp on the background and used a mist to make splatters. The great doily design is from a patterned paper by Teresa Collins in the Add on kit. I punched circles from the dotty paper and raised them with foam tape and of course I had to add a few sequins by machine stitching them in place
