Paradise Layout using the Scraptastic Sail kit

This is my last layout using the amazing Sail kit, Add on kit, and Sail stamp set from Scraptastic. I just loved working with this kit for all the different nautical themed layouts and cards. I wish I had more to play with. If you haven't picked yours up, they still have them as of right now when I am posting this. This has been one of my very favorite kits.

This layout is my example for the Sketchy Thursday Challenge  on the Scraptastic Blog. Fun sketch, if I do say so myself (lol), so play along for a chance at that gift certificate!

These kraft die cuts in the kit are awesome but I thought they looked even better when I stitched in white. I would have stamped on them in white if I had a decent white ink, but all of mine are terrible and didn't show up.

Since my sister loves the tv show "Friends", she totally loved that I put "you are my lobster" on this page with photos from her honeymoon. Can you stand how cute that little lobster is!? There is also an anchor in this stamp set and the word "anchor" so you can put that instead of lobster.

Disney Ferry Boat layout *June Scraptastic kit

As promised here is another Disney layout using the Sail kit, and Add on kit from Scraptastic. First I have to say that my friend, Nancy Burke, did a layout where she cut the woodgrain paper to make it look like weathered boards so I just had to copy that idea. Thanks Nancy :)

I used some white gesso and a stencil from DCWV for the dots on the background.  And the ahoy and anchor are 2 of the awesome wood veneers from the kit that I just rubbed ink onto to stain them.

And can you believe I pulled out my old gold brads and gold eyelets from my stash for this layout? When was the last time you used eyelets!? I think they really work well with a nautical theme.

Disney Day 1 layout

These photos are from a trip we took in 2005. I love the photos of my son, but not so much me, still I had to scrap them. I used the Sail kit, Add on kit,  and the Best Day of my Life Stamp set from Scraptastic Club.
You may look at the Sail kits and think they don't look very Disney but the colors and theme were perfect for these photos of us at Downtown Disney by the boats. I know Nancy Damiano did a gorgeous Disney Cruise layout for the blog HERE.  I think they would be wonderful for the boardwalk area and for a few of the beachy themed resorts as well. And I have another disney layout to share with you guys later using these papers.

I am not that great at using kraft paper so at first I was stuck for how to use all the fun kraft die cuts in this kit. Then I stitched on one in white and I love the look!

Snap layout *Scraptastic june kit

My cousin, Joey, and I were taking some photos down by the bay on Easter and we each took a photo of each other so I had to scrap them. I used the nautical Sail kit, and Add on kit.
This beautiful woodgrain made a perfect background for the crisp whites in the papers, die cuts, and transparency. The little wavy flair fit perfectly into the large spot of one of the die cut pieces. I used a chipboard camera from last month's kit and the buttons are from my stash.

I really really love whales so that big blue whale had to be on my page somewhere.

2 Cards and the June Scraptastic kits

Ok first of all I have to show you guys the gorgeous kits available for June. To see ALL the June kits visit Scraptastic Club HERE. But I got the Sail kit, Add on kit, and stamp set  - just look how much fun it all is!

So I was making a couple of birthday cards the other day and I used one of my older kits with the adorable whale stamp and Crate Paper Pier collection for one card. For the second card I used Goodies from Carta Bella Paper's Ahoy collection in this kit. The happy birthday stamps are from my stash.

Check back soon for lots of fun layouts from this kit :)
