Peg Leg Pete

Peg Leg Pete spent years as the barker bird out front at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride just as you enter the queue. He would talk and sing "yo ho, yo ho, a parrot's life for me". He was rather obnoxious but when he was taken out, he was missed. Well, we were at Downtown Disney shopping and I heard him talking to guests and he was sitting on top of a display right behind me. It seems kind of sad for this piece of Pirates animatronics to be sitting in a store, but next time you are shopping in World of Disney, stop stop by and see Pete :)

I found out while starting this layout, that Echo Park's Times and Seasons collection is perfect for Pirates of the Caribbean photos! The colors and designs are sort of meant for a vintage look, but if you think about it, they are totally piraty. You may be seeing some of my ride photos scrapped finally. I also used some gigantic brads and put a mickey pirate sticker on one. The row of arrows is just punched photo corners, and the round punched design is one of those Imaginisce Itop brad cover punches (28mm). The chipboard skull and crossbones are cut out with a Ranger die.

That is a cute story. I wouldn't have noticed but next time we go, I will be looking. I have never taken photos inside the ride but these papers are just the right style. I have to remember to use my itop punches for layouts.

I find alot of hidden Mickeys when we go but I never catch these sorts of things. I will have to make a note. I really like your Mickey sticker, who makes that?
