crochet

Well, not so much during the summer, but in the fall I do love to crochet and I am starting to knit now and then since my mom taught me a couple of stitches. Do you guys just scrapbook, or do you have other crafty hobbies? I used to cross stitch alot and make mini quilts. I did start one very large quilt and the top is finished but when I decided to hand quilt the whole thing, it slowed down and stopped and is now in a tub in storage. LOL!  Mostly I like to crochet lots of scarves for myself and family even though we live in Texas and rarely get to use them.

My friend, Kristin, gave me some 6x6" pieces of Crate Paper's Pretty Party collection so I combined it with some Crate Paper Paper Hearts collection. I crocheted a little bit and cut out some felt letters. The letters seemed bland so I stitched them with yarn. Then I thought I would be smart and run them thru the xyron.... that was not my best idea. LOL! It was a sticky mess like the back of the letters was a bit like sticky cotton candy all over my hands. Next time I am thinking a nice sticky craft glue that is meant for felt and fabric.

Fun way to incorporate another hobby onto your layout. I don't crochet or knit, but I have done cross stitch, but it has been years. I am starting to love gardening though. May be a new hobby for me!

Love the crocheting on your layout! Love those doilies! Are those a die cut? I used to cross stitch but don't anymore. I have picked up reading again. Thanks for sharing this layout and the tip about the felt in the xyron! :)

How adorable!!!!!! I want to copy this page, but sadly, I have no idea how to crochet, knit or anything remotely like that! I suppose I could do a page about your skills and make you crochet for me? Hahahahaha!
