Yours Truly Blog Hop

I have two fun layouts to share today but first....Have you seen Echo Park's "Yours Truly" collection by Cassandra Cooper!? If you have, you probably bought it, right? If you didn't, look again - seriously, click on the link and look at each paper. You guys know I am not a huge Valentines scrapper because my boys are grown and I just don't take the right photos, but there is so much more to this collection than you may have noticed at first glance. Awesome patterned papers that will be great to have in your stash. I am into red lately, because in looking thru my photos I have noticed that the colors that show up the most in my photos are: first black, second greenery(usually trees and grass) and third red - fourth is blue jeans :) So yeah, red is my friend.

Now that I said I don't scrap Valentines... here is a Valentines page that I couldn't resist. LOL!!! When I first saw this collection, I immediately thought of this photo and had to scrap it. Last Valentines was also the day we celebrated Christmas with our military sons so we were unwrapping gifts and my husband let Figaro play in his tissue. I got him the bluray "RED". If you haven't seen it, its hilarious, cute, and tons of action for the guys. Great date night movie.  So for my page, I loved the sticker banner "XOXO" so much that I kind of made the page around it. I used a bunch of super cute stickers for this page. The ribbon poof is an easy way to add embellishment. Just scrunch, stitch a pearl over the ribbon every inch(knot the back each time), and you have a nice trim. HERE is a little tutorial.

 

And while I was playing with this great Yours Truly Collection, I decided the colors were ideal for Christmas! And please excuse this awful photo of me, but I had to scrap it because I got the most fun phone from my husband. Its a PINK pop phone handset that attaches like an earpiece to my EVO. I love to use it in the car and have people stare at me with my big phone on my shoulder. Unlike a cellphone you can put it on your shoulder easily. 

This layout is also my example for Sketch #72 at SketchSavvy. I have seen so many pages with circles, hearts, and banners so I put them all together here. A bit of holly made from a green print from Echo Park's "Victoria Gardens", a couple of snowflake punches, and its a perfect holiday page. 

Just wait, because I still have a bunch more Yours Truly and I am planning to use it for Disney's Rock n Roller Coaster!!! It's practically made for that ride, right?
