Anyway, I found these old photos of Alex doing silly Field Day relays and wanted to do a special page. I hadn't tried this chipboard letter technique before and had always wanted to. My friend, Kristin, did a page using this technique the other day at a crop and I had to try it out. You attach the chipboard letters (and other shapes if you like) to form a frame, border, block, whatever you like. Then you paint over the entire piece with acrylic paint. I suggest using the same thickness of chipboard for the pieces if you want a uniform look and painting 2 coats of paint. I loved the look but wanted to add a bit more so I painted the surface of the letters in my son's name yellow and then doodled around them. So fun, because you can go outside the lines, mess up, who cares?! It still looks cute!
