I need a vacation

I have been thinking about vacations and destinations alot lately! I only go on vacation every couple of years and this is not a traveling year so I definately have the travel bug. I got the idea to make this little luggage tag mini and had alot of fun creating it. I used a bunch of really fun vintage travel images from Altered Pages.

The actually tag is created by using normal kraft paper cardstock. Dunk it in water and crumple it really really well, then flatten it out on a couple of pieces of papertowels, and microwave for about 30 seconds to dry it quickly. Next I cut out a window for the front and machine stitched a piece of plastic to the center. The inside pages are those little vertical name badge holders like you would attach to a lanyard. So for the window on the tag, I cut one of those apart. I created some ATC sized cards with the vintage images and put them in the badge holders and then the pages fit into my little luggage tag. The strap has a bit of velcro on it to open and close the book.
